SLADE STRATEGY GROUP
"THE STRATEGY BEHIND THE SERVICE"
Slade Strategy Group, LLC is a Florida-based consulting firm founded by Shomari Newlin Slade. It serves nonprofits, faith-based organizations, HBCUs, community colleges, and community institutions that need to secure public funding, prove their programs work, and build the learning systems that sustain them.
Unlike generalist nonprofit consultants, SSG operates at the intersection of three distinct competencies: public administration (MPA), applied learning science (academic research-grade rigor), and practitioner expertise across government relations, program evaluation, and instructional design. This rare combination makes SSG uniquely positioned to serve organizations that need all three capabilities working together.
SSG helps nonprofits and faith-based organizations build the infrastructure to access and influence public resources. This service line addresses the immediate crisis: nearly 4,000 Florida nonprofits receive federal grants; 70% are at risk due to 2025–2026 federal funding disruptions. Organizations need someone to help them navigate state and local alternatives and build lasting government relations capacity
Who needs this: Nonprofits losing federal funding, building government relations capacity for the first time, or seeking to diversify revenue through public-sector grants.

SSG helps organizations measure whether their programs work and communicate that evidence to funders.
